yesterday we had a fun filled day at a new park in west sac.. as you can see, there are lots of water features for the kids to run and play in...they had a blast. we went w/our friends the lueras family. it is 100% free and lots of fun!!!

happy 7th of july!!

since i didn't blog in a timely manner, here's the scoop on the 4th. our friends (see gutierrez party of 4 link to the right) couldn't make it due to illnesses, so we went to the movies! saw kung fu panda and it was funny! then of course it was a firework show complements of daddy. such the pyrotechnic!!

"da toe"

so i said i'd post about our "toe incident" and here it is. we stopped on our way home from corcoran last weekend at sonic. sonic is our spot. we decided to get out and eat. kids running in flip-flops like they got no sense, mommy watching, thinking in her head, they really need to stop. mommy then thinking, they've been in the car for 2 hours, let them expend some energy. mommy then watching her girl trip (over absolutely nothing, i might add) and fall. mommy then busting out laughing (extremely hard and loud, i might add). so at that point everyone got in trouble for running around like fools. sis wasn't bleeding or anything, so she was told to just "suck it up". she complained the whole way home and we just shushed her. cut to monday am. thank goodness for daddy's!!! daddy shamed mommy and sis went to the dr.. fractured big toe. sis then got her "boot" and again, mommy busted out laughing. now, please if you do not know me, i am a pretty nice and loving mommy. i just get a sick joy out of other peoples physical pain. sorry! to make up for it, she did get a pretty nice pedi out of it! one week down, three to go, no swimming, playing, running, etc..
